Who We Are

We’re a team of entrepreneurs, researchers, and community advocates who’ve worked in small business, policy, and city planning. Some of us have built our own businesses. Some of us have watched policies hurt the communities we care about. Some of us have seen brilliant ideas fail because there was no funding or support.

We’ve learned that entrepreneurship isn’t just about having a good idea. It’s about understanding the system around you—the taxes, regulations, and city planning decisions that determine whether you succeed or fail. Communities don’t thrive by accident. They thrive when entrepreneurs have real opportunities and when policymakers understand how economic growth connects to quality of life.

What We Do

We start by researching small business policy. There are taxes to understand, regulations to navigate, zoning laws that affect where you can operate, and programs that might help or hurt your growth. We study how these things impact entrepreneurs and their communities, because economic development and community planning are connected.

Once we understand the landscape, we help entrepreneurs build on solid ground. We develop comprehensive business plans that balance profit and purpose. We train small business owners on operations and regulations. Through our quarterly microfunding program, we provide $3,000–$5,000 USD to select entrepreneurs ready to launch or expand.

We also advocate for policy changes that support small businesses and work with city planners to create environments where entrepreneurs can succeed. Every decision we make considers quality of life and whether a business actually serves its community.
